Game Name - Battle for Cleotopia

Image of legend of zelda but i hope my game to be somewhat like this

So based on my themes I had last week I have decided to choose game 3 which was a 3d game role playing game RPG which is based on a mixture of 2 games, legend of Zelda and world of warcraft but after more thought on it I actually start to think there's a bit of more old school 2d rpg elements too like solving riddles but my game will be more rpg based and I’ll have a good background story and lore, The game will be about adventure where you explore lands and progress through the levels, hop over platforms with fiery lava, find mysteries and treasure chests, solve complex puzzles and fight your way to the end boss and kill them. For the story I have based it around my personal gaming experience where I’ve gone through many games to get to what I feel would make a good story I have tailored it a bit, so it is more presentable StoryThe story of the game will be that you are part of the royal family which rules over the kingdom of Cleotopia,You are a young (boy or girl, you choose your name and character gender) and you were banished to live far away from the castle because your family disowned you because your only half royal as your father was a commoner. One day you get a letter from your brother asking to come visit the castle, you set out to go talk with your brother who lives a bit of distance away from you but when you arrive you find he is kidnapped, and a letter is left on the table beside you.As you read the letter more you realize that he was kidnapped by an evil witch called Zelandra who wishes to use him to lure your family into a trap and it's unto you to go stop her before your family ends up as her slaves, at this point you realize the castle is empty and that your family had gone to rescue him.The evil witch will use your family and force the queen to hand over her crown so Zelandra can rule as queen instead, you cannot let this happen, so you set out sword and shield in hand ready to save the kingdom of Cleotopia. Game MechanicsI intend to include a lot more than 3 game mechanics but for this blog ill list 3 for now.1. The first is music and sound effects, because every good game need good music, boss battles, intense puzzles, opening chests, picking up keys and even small things like sneaking missions etc, so for this music is key to making a game feel good.2. mechanic 2 will be chance, in the game there will be events triggered depending on your choice and my hope is to have things like click 1 of 3 switches and when you do the switches become unclickable and one of the 3 doors opens and once you go through the door closes and then you fight an enemy and if you win you get an item to help you and the door opens, the 2nd door could be a puzzle instead of a fight to get the item, and he 3rd could be a riddle to click a set of buttons in order.3. For the 3rd I could add the element of choices, so depending on what you do will determine 3 different game endings and how the game progresses as you go along, it could be like if you come to a 3-way passage with a way to go each left middle or right. 3.1 If go left you end up fighting a giant and then you could be hunted by giants for the rest of the game3.2 If you go the center you end up talking to a stranger who gives you an item to make the game easier3.3 And lastly if you go right you end up falling into a pit where you must fight beasts to get out and these beasts, but there's 2 levers, one could be to open the door to fight he beasts and the 2nd to get out of the pit but be cursed for the rest of the game.

  1. Hey Dani! Your game sounds really cool I look forward to seeing it developed. It's clear that you did a lot of research in this post so well done. I like the idea of your game it's very original. I think it's cool that you combined two types of games into one and made it your own. It's great that you based it on your own personal gaming experience too, best of luck with it all!
